RITTENHOUSE SQUARE FINE ART SHOW
Held bi-annually in June and September, The Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show is organized by the Rittenhouse Square Fine Arts Association. Originally started in June 1932 when a small group of Philadelphia art students came to Rittenhouse Square to hang their work between the trees on clotheslines, the Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show has become the oldest continuously run outdoor art show of original artwork in the entire country. Highlighting professional and student artists, the Fine Arts Show “Circles the Square” with over 140 individual tents and booths. As an additional fundraiser, the Friends of Rittenhouse Square host an Outdoor Café on 18th Street on Saturday during the show in partnership with Rouge, Devon Seafood Grill & Parc.
